De Havilland Dh88 Comet "Bush Flying Unlimited"
______________________________

This is a repaint of the default FS2004 De Havilland Dh88 Comet. Depicted here is a fictional Scheme for 'Bush Flying Unlimited'. The online VA for , strangely enough, bush flying. They can be currently found here:

http://bfu.avsim.net/index.html

This is a slightly different colour scheme from the usual BFU, as I tried to make the style fit the era of this Aircraft. She is done in a retro Art Decor style with white wall tyres and a little chrome work here and there.

This one is dedicated to Ed Moore, a true gent and I'm piveleged to know him.

More schemes may follow in one form or other.

Installation
____________

Unzip the 'texture.BFU' folder to your 'DeHavilland Comet' folder within the aircraft folder of FS9's root folder. This typically resides in your 'Program Files' folder of your C: drive, but may differ depending where you installed FS2004.

Then edit the aircraft.cfg adding the following lines just after other very similar entries...

[fltsim.XX]
title=de Havilland Comet BFU
sim=DeHavilland_Comet
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=BFU
kb_checklists=DeHavilland_Comet_check
kb_reference=DeHavilland_Comet_ref
atc_id=CF-CVB
atc_id_color=0x00ffffff
ui_manufacturer=de Havilland
ui_type="DH-88 'Comet'"
ui_variation="Bush Flying Unlimited"
description="Bush Flying Unlimited (http://bfu.avsim.net/index.html) is a virtual bush flying club based on all flight simulators... Unlike a typical aviation club, BFU flies to just about any destination. An airport is not a requirement. As a result, being a BFU pilot can be quite an experience. This Scheme is dedicated to and named for Ed Moore"
atc_heavy=0
atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0
visual_damage=1

Be sure to edit the first lines 'XX' to the next sequential number.

All being well you should be able to fly her.

Being as you downloaded this from the very fine SimOuthouse, you'll also find me there. Drop a PM or ask a question in the FS2004 forum, I'll do what I can to help.

This repaint was mainly for my own enjoyment, part of a project to cover all schemes of real life Comets, time will tell if I get them all done. Being so, they are not 100% accurate, due to limited research available and (mainly) the texture mapping of the FS2004 model. On the latter point, artistic license has been taken with best judgement. I did my best.

If you are a 'rivet counter', I'm not interested, go paint your own!! If not and have some info or useful feedback, I'm all ears.
